Trip Back to the 50's

For my photography final this year I completed a themed/documentary series
about a classical establishment, Mac's Drive-In.
My place of employment and the place I call home.
When I was home a few weekends ago, I was brainstorming a few ideas for my final.
I wanted to do something unique, something that meant something to me.
What better than Mac's???
Mac's is a quaint little place in the Finger lakes that serves fresh cut fries, homey buns and Richardson's Root Beet !
Absolutely Delish !
But the best part......we have Carhops :)
One of the last carhops in America, Mac's has been open for 49 years this summer.
A classic seasonal establishment !

Below are the photos I took for my final....

The front open air cooking station, complete with a Root Beer Barrel, and 49 year old counter....

A co-worker- Tania chats with a common customer over a
tall frosty mug of Root Beer.

Morghan Refills from the Barrel....

Brian's flippin burgers....

Sarah completes an order on the ramp to some happy customers....with a smile :)

Don't forget to stop and see us if you're in the Finger Lakes Area...

Country Roads.....

My trip to West Virginia this past weekend left me completely inspired by the beauty of the mountains. West Virginia has a beautiful point called- Cooper's Rock.... that was absolutely breathtaking. Sooo peaceful.
Left without speech....the mountains inspired me to find some beautiful mountain photography....

Country roads, take me home

Director !

For the Directorial Mode Photography Theme
I shot my friend Syd as a Rich, Dignified, Classy somewhat perfect woman.
The underlying theme was, Just because her life seems perfect doesn't mean it is.
The true story is Syd (the model/character)
is hiding her true self under her perfect image.

She is Beautiful, Poised, Intelligent and Classy.
She is very rich and wanted by everyone.
But for those who can't see the true Syd.
She is battered, beaten, hooked on drugs and alcohol
and often uses prostitution as a way of income.

Goes to show you....Life isn't as perfect as it may seem.

The Ultimate.....

Both Syd and I are absolutely in LOVE with this picture :)
I love the sharpness of the bright stripes
and Syd's blank expression with the dynamic cross of my arm through the center.
Rock Out of Course:)
Concert !!!!!!
And the way it's cropped is AMAZING !

A few fun snaps of the weekend.....

A few friends and I took a road-trip this past weekend to Geneseo to see AAR !
All American Rejects!
I don't think I have ever been so excited.

Along the way we took many random shots
and stopped for lunch in my hometown at my favorite Summer Drive-In;
Mac's (my place of employment as well).
The girls and John had so much fun.
But no one as much as I did !
It was incredible. Best concert by far that I have ever been too ! :)
AAR was amazing <3

My undying devotion for the lead singer didn't have anything to do with it at all haha.

But here are a few shots from our super busy and even more exciting day :)

Syd and Me after lunch at Mac's <3

Arriving in Geneseo for AAR !
I love the blury-ness then the drastic green off centered sign in this shot.

Excellent emotion.
I love the personality of this picture.

Color !
We were bored for sure.
And the palette caught my eye.

I love this !
Erin through the mirror from the backseat.
:)

The beginning of our day.
You can sense the excitment.
Again, I love the emotion of the picture.

Favorites......

A few of my favorites ever.......
The Kiss <3
One of the best photos of all time- certainly not alone on this opinion though.
Beautiful Shot.
So Much Emotion <3

A great photo.
9/11 <3
Incredible image, full or heart and courage and strength <3

This is an extremely popular shot, and I love it, the sharp beam across the center really separates the people from the city but gives the piece a sense of unity.
I love the dangling feet.
The sharpness of the city even being so distant and the boldness of the men.
It fantastic.
